The LifeSize UVC Platform is a virtual software platform for video conference infrastructure. UVC stands for Universal Video Collaboration. Via the UVC Platform it is possible to consolidate various components of a video conference infrastructure. The various applications are controlled over a common interface and can be centrally configured from the platform.
The individual applications can also be flexibly licensed and scaled according to current needs. Thus, the applications can be adjusted to the needs of the user, freeing only the needed capacity and expanding only when necessary. This makes the UVC-Platform suitable for businesses of all sizes. Further owing to the flexibility of the UVC Platform, the application model is chosen by the system administrator according to the needs of the environment, from either software applications (UVC LifeSize Virtual Machine Software) or hardware applications (LifeSize UVC 1150, LifeSize UVC 3350 or LifeSize UVC 3380 Hardware Appliance).

- Access – gatekeeper for IP routine and call-monitoring
