According to a study by the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW), only around twelve percent of German employees currently work occasionally or regularly from a home office. This leaves Germany behind the European trend. This figure is 20 percent in Great Britain and even over 25 percent in Sweden. According to the survey, 30 percent of those asked would like to work more often or, as may apply, regularly from home. Flexible working models are a locational advantage when fighting for the best employees.
